Well, others have made that analogy but we are not there yet, imo. In terms of debasement of the currency Ricards thinks we may be ahead of the Romans. Their coins went from almost 100% silver to less than 5% silver over time, but, he said, at least they still had some silver. All we have now is paper and base metal coinage.
