Here are the quarter to quarter percentages based on that data..

Mar-96 6/96 9/96 12/96 Mar-97 6/97 Sep-97
SGR N/A 18% 56% 46% 19% 8% 19%
EGR N/A 85% 488% 56% 27% 48% 38%

SGR= Sales growth rate (from previous qtr)
EGR= Earnings (in $, not EPS) growth rate (from previous qtr)

When you factor out the increase in float, the trend looks quite good.
The caveat is whether the *current* valuation doesn't already assign
a "more than reasonable" multiple for that growth.

Although the quarter to quarter rate has slowed in recent quarters,
it looks much better when you compare quarter to same quarter in
prior year.

I think I will revisit my research on this. After all, I did
make quite a bit of money on this one before...nothing says I can't
do it again...

regards,
Louis
