Russell made what I believe is a very insightful comment today: The markets are going up because they sense that Bernanke is getting ready to engage in a bit of deflation-fighting which will of course involve the printing press in some form or fashion. If true, gold should follow the market's lead. We may, therefore, see a rally in gold very soon. And perhaps some weakness in long bonds. Might be time to get into some short speculative positions vis-a-vis the long bond, i.e., via TBT.
