I'm glad it's smart enough to shut itself down when it gets too hot. That prevents it from being damaged by anyone stupid enough to leave it lying around in the sun. I was once dumb enough to leave my iPhone in my car. It was sitting on the seat, with the sun beating down on it directly, through the window. By the time I realized I had left it there, it had shut down. It was displaying a message about overheating. I brought it inside, let it cool down for a while, and it was fine. I was happy about that automatic shutdown feature.
