This is just a new formulation of Saquinavir, the least potent of the PIs, shows antagonism with Indinavir in Vitro. Shows good results in combination with other PIs. Not a good single PI choice, unless you mix it with Rescriptor. Best adherence is when regimens are kept as simple as possible, with as few pills as possible. Also remember resistance and cross-resistance. Beware the "Sins from the Past". If you give SQV and develop resistance, there may be cross-resistance to the other PIs. You must try first the one with the lowest cross-resistance possible. This will be good for "Salvage Therapy". JLL
