A duel? Alrighty, then. One thing first: I'm not a Yankee by even the farthest stretch of the imagination. Second, you never did answer my question: What's the difference between a Yankee and a DAMN Yankee?

You know, there is one good thing about Alabama.. At least it's not Mississippi.

Bring your bassin' rod, flippin' rod, pool cue, hawg stick or whatever you want to call it to West Point Lake at first light on Sunday. Right after a hot breakfast involving plenty of biscuits, butter, eggs, grits, bacon, pancakes and hot coffee, we'll square off over the water. Standard bass tournament rules. Weigh-in at that big-ass marina on the Georgia side at 2:00. Loser cleans and filets ALL the fish AND trailers the boat. There's nothing to settle a dispute like a good day of bassing.

Personally, I don't go for finesse rigs when fishing for bass. A sawed-off pool cue and some 45-pound line works wonders. When you set the hook, that fish IS coming out of the water. And if you pull hard enough, it comes out of the water cleaned and fileted.

Bring plenty of beer, pork rinds and vienna sausages. And you're riding in the front, 'cause I like to drive.
