7/30/10 Update
It was one of those seesaw weeks, with neither Bulls nor Bears able to claim a decisive victory. At Friday’s close, the Nasdaq Composite Index fell back into the red for the year and is now down -.64% YTD (vs. up .01% YTD a week ago). Although the Nasdaq Biotech Index picked up a bit of ground, it remains down -.90% YTD (vs. down -2.53% YTD a week ago), while the Contest median also gained a bit for the week, finishing up 4.41% YTD (vs. up 3.62% YTD a week ago).
ROCKY's portfolio (up 51.50% YTD) took over the Contest lead, barely slipping past the IDIX-damaged DEWDIL’s portfolio (up 51.44% YTD). FILO's portfolio (up 34.60% YTD) remained in third place. At Friday's close, 21 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and the same 21 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
