TO ALL,My first and last post ever, Recently a friend who has played gold for about 40 years tried explaining to this rookie a little about gold's cycles.While he has not gotten rich from gold,I think he has made a few very good points.In 1979 and 1980 the POG shot up to over 800US when the U.S. was telling everyone it was the best thing ever.The middle east oil rich deep pockets went bananas and bought like crazy!and the U.S. made big bucks selling at that time.Now my friend thinks that maybe they are manipulating the C.B's of the world to make gold look unattractive to everyone,only to buy low and in a year or so when the proper circumstances arise make gold look ever so shiney again!!!Maybe Greenspan has started my friends theory today. FISHMAN-just a rookie.
