For the record, I am finished being the polite skeptic about Simmons - the innocent until proven guilty defender. One certainly has to question his judgment, either as an uniformed IB pontificating on things oily, or for simply speaking out about things in which he doesn't have true expertise. I will give him the benefit of suggesting that he is suffering some dementia. I mean that sincerely. He has looked horrible on the various videos, especially the one from his home office in Maine. That was a weak camera. At worst he is deliberately insincere - a market manipulator. I can't rule that out. Charlie Rangel at 80 years is struggling under ethics charges right now. It happens. Tragic.

I will never be finished with my divine commission of pillorying the media.
