It's not sprited discussion that's the problem, it's ad hominem attacks which most often get people in hot water. However, constant peppering of posts without any meaningful content also have a low tolerance. For example, one might consider a statement like Liar Elmer, shut up! as nothing more than pushing buttons for pushing's sake; others would brush this off since it's missing the big fat prefix.
