I agree with you on the public sector. The public sectors salaries only go UP, never down. Public sector retirement benefits only go UP. Due to unions, you have to really WANT to be fired to get the axe from a public sector job. Much more likely, you'll be shuffled off to a window seat while a new hire does your job.

It should all be fixed. A lot of public sector workers are getting the axe in this recession.

You may laugh, but the Post Office has been under increasing pressure to tighten up for many years, and I think runs a fairly tight ship now, for a public shop. A model for the rest.

There's a REASON they go "postal"!
