Demonstrating how important this is to the Muslim world is the fact that they have scheduled the dedication of the mosque on September 11, 2011.

The question I would pose is , if a similar incident had happened in a Muslim nation, would they have allowed the building of a Church or a Synagogue in a similar fashion.

Doubtful.
