The story of how this man swayed millions of voters to elect him is what I find so fascinating. I'm a real layman when it comes to human psychology, and when you add politics to the mix it gets very, very complicated. I'm waiting for some genius to offer up a more in depth explanation as to his character and how a person like him can persuade people he is what he isn't. I feel proud to know the people here because they are generally good folks and especially because they have enough sense to know an impostor when they see one. Well.............I take that back. He really isn't an impostor in the sense that he admitted to Joe the Plumber that he was going to "spread the wealth around." The people here and conservatives all around the nation already knew that was his goal. This is when the rest of the nation should have gotten a clue. And then there is all the information out there in the cloud that was/is available. Was it too much to ask people to do some reading?

Discounting genuine Socialists and unions, people instinctively vote for the man/woman they think will benefit them the most. I understand why most Blacks voted for him, but what I want to know is what the hard working people of the upper mid-west thought they were going to get out of this? And the people who voted for him from Cali, and Wa, and south Tx and the south Central states? Did he possess skills so powerful he mesmerized people with simple words..........."hope", "change?"

I also understand people were "sick of the Bushs" meme.

I think it comes down to the fact that most people are just plain lazy. They have no understanding of how we got where we are, the ramifications of our success as a nation, what we have to lose, how it will affect us and our families and when it comes right down to it, and no thanks to the NEA (and other factions) most of us are historically ignorant.

And another thing! I genuinely feel sickened by what has happened to our nation as a result of that election. I am saddened, dejected and I have a feeling that I have been wronged. I am doing my level best to hold my emotions in check, and thankfully people aren't throwing their vote in my face any longer. I fear if someone does so when I'm at my most vulnerable, I will explode.

Ironically, I do have hope. My hope is this presidency awoke a sleeping giant.
