Carolyn, Did you notice the political forum at westeros.com is overwhelmed w/the usual 'brilliant' Libs who enjoy stereotyping anyone not programmed w/their political absurdities? Isn't non-profiling a dogma of their fervently strident religion called Liberalism? Yes, GRR Martin is definitely an ambitious writer. IMO, he would've been wiser to write & publish ensuing novels in the series without promising 7volumes upfront - starting 14yrs ago w/publication of Game of Thrones. Check my blog to see a photo of Sean Bean in Belfast, having a few evening cold ones w/the actor who plays king Robert. It seemed strange to see Col Sharpe & Lord Eddard Stark wearing a baseball cap & t-shirt while downing a Guinness.<g>
