I can't comment on TI's specifics, but....
The trend I've seen is that the boss upstairs reads an article about how NT is the wave of the future, and in wanting to be on top of the world, he sends down a directive that a move to NT needs to be made.
Marketing, it's all marketing. Netware has survived this long because it is the superior NOS. NT has grown this fast because it's in everyones face. I beleive Chevron ended up in the same position that TI did. A quiet but substantial victory for Novell. I'm taking advantage of NOVL's lows. They'll come back. Microsoft will make sure of it!
