FISHMAN,

<<Now my friend thinks that maybe they are manipulating the C.B's of the world to make gold look unattractive to everyone, only to buy low
and in a year or so when the proper circumstances arise make gold look ever so shiney again!!>>

I have had this thought many times ... they are presently trying to extend this bull as much as possible - and when it is finally spent, gold will suddenly be the thing to own. I have also thought that what may be happening is a realigning of the global distribution of gold - and then, when the time is right, it will be raised to whatever point is required to make it a real standard again .... I'm likely just dreaming, but what better way to do it than tank the price big time, so it can be bought by whomever needs it for that purpose.

That is the reason I think the US is still hanging on to theirs - they need what they have for this final goal.
