Deflation is appearing [in writing] more and more. It is almost a fashion.

Now that the supposed Calamitous Catastrophe of the Macondo Well turned out to be a fizzer and the Gulf of Mexico hasn't exploded and a billion dead marine mammals, birds and fish haven't washed up on the shore, perhaps Deflation can be a focus for unreasoned fear.
