I took it to mean the way available treatments are presented to the public by suppliers, the media, and the culture, in general, thus creating unsupportable demand.

My thought, too. One need only consider the marketing of a drug to make your eyelashes grow faster, longer, as an example. Expected to yield some $500 Million for Allergan.

Do we really need this kind of crap on the market? (Okay, there are some who legitimately need such a medication, I guess, but do we need for it to be prescribed solely for doing what there are already cosmetics out there doing?)
