OSO - corroborating what has been posted here before, Scott Black, in this week's Barrons, is making a strong case for LSI. He thinks 3 billion in revenues in 1999 is possible (which would be amazing) wiht EPS of 2.10 in that year (he said this was conservative). Worst case scenario was 14-15 which agrees with our absolute worst case scenario- he's view was that this would happen if there was a world-wide slowdown or something like this. All in all not bad but except for the 3 billion in revenue nothing that we did not know already! Once again no one knows exactly how LSI is going to generate higher revenues but there is always a chance that if things go the right way (meaning customer end products explode, DVD, high-density designs) this company could explode. The question is how do we, who are not privy to the inner workings of LSI, assess the probability of this 3 billion dollar boom.
