I think that buying any stock after a "big hit" to the downside as a result of "bad news" is a good bet in most cases.

Good examples are not hard to find. Look at WFR as an example. After taking a 15 percent hit on Friday, 7/30, due to a bad earnings report, WFR had a 4.4 percent gain for this past week to be in top spot in the SOX.

Another stock to watch is KLIC. In the 6 week report,

KLIC is bouncing around like a big rubber ball as a result of good news/bad news. Right now, KLIC has next year earnings of 1.79 resulting in a PE of 4 and a PEG of 0.26 to be in top spot in the Group for this category. One week it was up 18.7 percent, the next week it was down 17.2 percent. Talk about volatility. If you could time that stock perfectly, you could soon be sunning yourself on the beach in Cancun living the high life month after month whenever you wanted to.:)
