I have no idea how often Bush and Trent Lott met ... but I doubt Bush sat around listening to his ideas on how to keep down the black man. Were that the case, Bush wouldn't have had prominent blacks holding Cabinet positions in his government.

If you can claim that Obama is racist because he went to a particular church for his services, then I can claim GW Bush is a racist because he was in the same party as Trent Lott and other racist conservatives and collaborated with those people when running the country.

Sorry, this doesn't change the fact that the Obama administration dismissed the civil charges.

That's because there was no evidence any whites suffered discrimination. Most conservative attacks against Obama have little to no substance. And this is a prime example of one of those attacks.

If there was racial favoritism, your argument is with GM, not Obama.

That would be a big thing if the federal government wasn't running GM .... as it shouldn't be.

And why is the right always complaining that the rights of white Americans are in jeopardy when they hold most most of the economic and political power in this country? Is fear and loathing of minorities inherent to American conservatism?

Oh gee, we're always complaining because liberals are always accusing us of racism. Which you just did again.

That was not my question. My question is why do American conservatives think whites are experiencing insufferable discrimination when they hold most of the economic and political power in this country? American conservatives suffer this persecution complex that makes no sense.
