For more than 30 years, a smaller and smaller percentage of the population controls more and more of this country's wealth. Its been shown in study after study.

This is probably true, although not to the extent you would suggest (the US GINI index today stands roughly where it did in 2000 as well as in 1929, which is about 6 points higher than the average over the intervening period).

But what does it matter? Can you explain that?

The American poor, during the same period, have prospered, largely as a result of the same work product that yielded increased wealth amongst those who have real money. So, WTF do you care?

Do you believe it would further the objectives of the poor to redistribute more of the wealthy's money to them? If so, how so?

I know you are a non-worker. But I work my ass off and I'm productive as hell. Why do you think that is? Could it be I hope to join the top 1% some day? Would I work as hard if the top 1% were required to just pay me off?

You see how this works? No, I didn't think so.
