Matt Monday: Welcome back, and congrats on a new job.

I am buying e&p's left and right. Well, maybe more north and south. -g- I'm buying ones in Canada, Western USA, Texas, Colombia. Also North Sea, Tunisia, and elsewhere.

I'm following maybe 30. Looking at maybe couple dozen more. A sample of my recent buys or current holdings is:
USEG -- Rocky Mountain O&G, also moly exploration, also geothermal. (Holding a full position at this time. Doesn't mean I'm more confident, more informed about this one or will be more successful. My results with full positions say I've been wrong a lot. ATPG being a prime and recent example.)
NPE.V -- in Alberta in-situ oil sands
NNN.to -- in California and Wyoming
CNE.v -- in Colombia, Brazil, Guyana
BSIC.ob -- in North Dakota, Montana, Colorado, TX, and WY.
CEN.v -- Thailand (looking to add; stock has climbed above my buy price though)
AEI.to -- North Dakota/Canada
TAT -- Turkey. A bet on the the jockey, i.e. the good history of the ceo building up his previous company
Bigger cap companies: BPKEF.pk, CRZO, CSCTF.pk, EOG, FRHLF.pk, KWK, MDU, NBL, ROSE.

------------------

I'll step up for a start in HES on Monday. I'm primarily now adding to small caps though. Some of these are thinly-traded, under a buck or two. I am buying them even as they move up - if I can still find price under nav or if they seem to have a lot of opportunities in their acreage in those oil shales I'm interested in. Every few years I get in a spot where I find a sector that looks really, really good to me. These small e&p's seem to be it now for me. Of course, jmo, and I've been wrong many, many times.
