<<<So it is okay to post Robert Byrd quotes from his KKK days?

Quotes are risky things because they may not be accurate and may be taken out of context. I suspect that McCain may have been referring to the North Vietnamese prison guards that tortured him over several years. In a case of actions speaking, McCain has adopted a child from Bangladesh. >>>

Is Robert Byrd racism and quotes from his KKK days the same as (or somehow equivalent to) McCains racism and quotes of recent years.

Robert Byrd has apologised over and over again for his KKK days and has not since used pejoratives to describe minorities. McCain has said he will never apologise to describe certain people in a certain way.

Do you think we should find it okay for McCain to continue with racist speech because he allowed his wife to adopt a child from Bangladesh?

Imo it is one thing to say that it is understandable but it is something else to say that it is acceptable.
