Recession or not, we aren't growing our economy out of this one. That used to work but the laws of really really big numbers are now at play. Remember as an economy gets bigger and bigger, just like real companies, (Cisco Systems comes to mind) they can't grow as fast anymore and the Govt continues to spend like that 4% growth rate can go on forever. It cannot and eventually when you can't get more than 3%, then 2%, then 1% growth, guess what, you can't pay your debts anymore. The ponzi is over.
