I took a look at the companies that make up the Morgan Stanley high tech stocks and guess what ? Novell does not appear on the list.

Goes to show that the street thinks of Novell as HISTORY and a company no longer able to compete with its products.

In my humble opinion, NOVL has lost the battle against MSFT and will become an extinct dinosaur within a year or two. The company has "zilch" to offer. MOAB is late in the offering and who cares if it is IP based ? By the time MOABy dick is released into the wilderness, NT will have gained worldwide acceptance.
The mindset has changed to NT. Period. NetWare is history. BorderManager..who cares ? What else do they have ? NOTHING !!!!

For a change, the company should heed to shareholder and industry demands....sell the damn company.
What will it take to convince the Dr. that he cannot turn around this company ? Perhaps if we offer him part of the $1 billion, he will agree to put the company up for sale.
I for one vote in favour of giving him the Hummer vehicle as a year end bonus and a one way free flight on the corporate jet back to his hometown of Silicon Valley.

A JAVA geek at the helm...holy moly, how many more mistakes will the NOVL BOD made ? Have they not learned enough from past mistakes ?
