No, but then again neither are poker games and football pools.

Several states are trying to regulate online gambling away. What a surprise that a senator from Nevada is heading it up :)

Worst case scenario, if online gambling is made illegal, and the US figures out a way to prevent you and I from accessing it, then there is still a huge market worldwide for gaming.

One of the really cool things about it, is that there is no paper trail. If you set up an account via a money order or cashiers check with SNMM or Cryptologic, then when/if you take money out, it is also sent by money order or cashiers check. Nothing gets reported to the IRS, or any governing US authority. (Don't be stupid and set an account up with a VISA card, however!)

Personally, I am not worried about the possibility of losing subscribers if the US should figure out how to prevent it's citizens from playing the games. They can't shut down internet-based kiddieporn, which is an order of magnitude more vulgar and offensive to us all.
