that's the theory.

the reality is that nobody has ever tried to allocate the capital for the benefit of society - so the theory has never even been tested (i'm not arguing it isn't true, just arguing it hasn't ever been tested).

they allocate it for the benefit of themselves - and in that way the dictatorial plutocracies have worked fabulous... for the dictatorial plutocrats.
