I recognise my citizenship duties well, pay my income taxes, have done jury duty as has my wife. I still refuse to prolong the government's attachment to race and ethnicity. We live in Canada not 1960s South Africa. I think the percentage of people who wrote in Canadian as their ethnic origin was close to 20% in the last census so the statistics gathered about this have no meaning, unless they lump all those who marked Canadian as white. Therefore eliminate the question.
