If the government wants to play political football with the illegal aliens issue - most in US don't and want the govt to take action. This is a country of immigrants and I think most welcome wholeheartedly legal immigrants. More states will follow Ariz and citizens like this until the govt starts doing their job much better. I understand but I don't think what AZ has done is constitutional. I also think stopping illegal immigration is harder to accomplish that many realize. The US is a have nation. Mexico is a have not nation. Their elites are even less democratic than our elites. The people need work and money......the US is their escape valve. And so they come in droves. Recently, an illegal was arrested where I live. It turns out he has been deported ten times and still comes back. They finally threw him in jail. We will have to pay for his upkeep for the next ten years. The people of AZ and Americans in general want simple solutions. In the case of illegal immigration, there are none.
