Look, what you're really trying to say is that you support the Conservative agenda. Fine.
But don't dress it up in fallacious statements about the integrity of data, or an imagined government "attachment to race and ethnicity". They're not true and they don't work.
What the author of the quoted article states, and it is true, is that there was overwhelming opposition to the Conservative's sneaky move on the long census form. Most Canadians recognized the reality; Conservatives gained a Pyrrhic victory. That eventually, after the Conservatives are gone, the long form will return.
If it matters, upstream it's stated I support none of the parties, and will vote to maintain minority government, i.e., for the party running second in polls. As things stand if any existing party gets a majority, Canada's in serious trouble.
I want politicos holding a gun to each others' head, ready to stop progress on each others' idiotic agendas, ready to call an election at any time. Minority government is our best defense.
