Me Thots R:

* As you say, "at the most, we're looking at a slap on the wrist fine here IF influence peddling can be proven." and it appears that this company is quickly getting a lot of baggage behind them.

* I concur with the company position as stated in the 3rd quarter earnings report that "The company believes comparisons to the prior year are less meaningful than a comparison to the prior quarter, because 1997 is the first year in which the company has been commercially operating. <snip> The majority of the company's 1997 revenue has been generated by operations at the company's waste processing facilities, while none of the previous year's revenue resulted from commercial processing."

* The additions of Gordon Bitter as CFO and Marie J. Langlois as a Director in September appear to have strengthened company management. Both appear to have excellent credentials.

* The recent announcement of a corporate restructuring to reduce costs as the company continues to progress into commercial operations makes sense.

* It appears that the company's patented core technology, Catalytic Extraction Processing (CEP) works and with two facilities already on line, a 3rd coming and the delivery of CEP to the Japanese joint venture, I think that profitability can't be too far away.

* This reasonably active forum presents a pretty good opportunity to keep tabs on this puppy. I referred to it several times as I researched this company before establishing my initial position in September.

For all of the above reasons I've taken advantage of the recent record lows to considerably increase my position in MLTN, despite the fact that I don't find the waste management arena particularly exciting.

You have commented several times in the past on the (off shore) REG S financing issue. I'm not very conversant with this issue. I'm wondering if you could briefly explain why and how this "limits any upside surge for sometime to come"?
