That's fine, but that's not what the PR guys are saying. Java is a great language, Sun should give up the Java name, Sun is so hypocritical, we've just got to make Java save for Windows

Well, you have to admit that Java isn't much of a platform at this time. It has great potential to be so in the future, but just not yet. I do, however, agree that Java is a great languauge--everything is OO, so it's easier to learn for beginning programmers (though, a lot of schools will not teach it as a beginning course, because they think it's too easy--too babyish for the students; because Java makes writing decent programs too easy for them such that they won't learn more low-level stuff). Not having to worry about pointers is cool, too (I have no problem with them, but for some reason, a lot of people do).

As for the others: I'm not sure what, exactly they mean by saying that "Sun should give up the Java name." I believe Sun is hypocritical. I'm not sure what, "we've just got to make Java safe for Windows," means.
