I did not say that Statscan is a bloated bureaucracy, the government itself is one. It uses the statistics gathered and published by Statcan to implement job hiring programs that concentrate on trying to employ more minorities, to the extent of banning whites from even applying for government jobs. Recent story of a white woman in Ottawa. The government applies pressure on large companies to do their own hiring of minorities at the expense of others, to supposedly get their percentages up to what the government thinks is right. My company, a large Canadian bank, sends out its own census every year asking for the ethnicity of its employees. We are all individuals , leave us to be free of these mandarins, Non chinese ones of course, that are unneeded overhead.
