Good Afternoon Margaret,

Thanks for the very warm welcome you extended to me this am. This thread looks like one big happy family, seems like everyone knows one another here - it's a real lovefest! Very different from the thread where I cut my teeth.

Judging from founder Frank Morris's brief, one is allowed to mention other stocks or wealthbuilding ideas besides INTEL which is obviously highly revered around here. I did a brief article on MSFT recently, which may carry some positive implications for the WINTEL alliance so I will import it an post it here later this evening with some additional commentary.

I notice that there was some + and - commentary re Fast Track this am. I hate to have to criticize opposing views and our opposing leaders but they definately have their heads in the sand on this one.

Negotiating trade agreements is a lot like owning stocks, they take a lot of time to begin yeilding results. I have spent a lot of time in Mexico and anyone who has not been there in a few years would notice dramatic economic improvements. If you thing US trucks and Sport Utils are selling well in US, they are an urban status symbol in Mexico and they are everywhere, as are all things made in USA. The problem with the current agreement with Mex is they did not go far enough in removing trade barriers. Mex businesses are not competing on a even playing field with US. They still have to pay import taxes on many areas of US capital equipment. Only reason there is a temporary trade imbalance is because peso buying power was slashed by two thirds but with the economy roaring back --- unemployment falling at the same rate as US to 4.7 % and 7.3 % growth in the 2nd quarter they are buying more US goods than ever. Not bad for a country that went through a compacted depression 2 years ago. Unemployment in Tijuana is around 1%. Latin Americans (400 Million Pop) are getting richer every day and hunger for all things American and our lifestyle.

Here's the help wanted ad and math:

250 million brain heads with ability to produce endless generations of high tech goods would to do buisness with 6 Billion others interested in buying same...Call 1-202-Congress
