If the landmark commission had ruled against demolition, you are correct it would have had no effect on the use of the interior of the building by the owners, but it would have prevented the Super Mosque from being built.


You seem to be saying the landmark commission should have ruled the building a landmark because they didn't want to have the spot turned into a mosque. Is that what you think? Or are you just pointing out declaring it a landmark would have prevented creation of a mosque on the site?
