Muslim fathers evidently kill their daughters for infractions of religious tenets, so nothing seems all that far fetched.

You think the imam of the proposed ground zero mosque is going to preach (or whatever imams do) that apostates should be killed by the parishioners (or whatever they're called) of the mosque? I doubt it. I would think the mosque would lose its tax free religious status pretty quick were that to happen.
