Have you been partaking a bit too much of the Cloudy Bay SB recently?

Deflation technically means that there are fewer coins in circulation but its corollaries are that credit and demand go down. Wages naturally suffer, unemployment rises, etc. All kinds of bad things happen. It is more pernicious and difficult to fight than inflation.
