Why would Democrats, especially in and associated with the Obama administration, STOKE racial and religious discord?
Democrats need it, I think.
Was listening to Medved and Prager talking while out driving to a meeting this afternoon and heard a few points and have done some thinking about them. Apparently only 28% of white Anglo voters now think Obama deserves re-election. Thats down from 43% of that demographic they got in the last election.
How can they possibly hope to win? Only by stoking up discord between all minority groups and the majority. If they get 100% of all the minority groups and add it to the 28% they can still win ... maybe .... if the turnout among minority's is big. No, I don't think this will work, but I do think its what they're going for.
So they have to convince all the minority voters that Republicans hate you. Republicans are your enemy and mean you harm. They'll persecute you if they can, only the Democrats are your protectors.
That's why they need controversies like the one over the Arizona immigration law .... they think this controversy will help them convince hispanics that Republicans hate them and get them to vote Democrat. Its why Harry Reid says he can't imagine why a hispanic would vote Republican.
This isn't anything new of course. Its what the Democratic party has ALWAYS done.
Medved and Prager talked about Jewish voters and were saying that most Jews in their personal lives live traditional family values and in their work lives live free market values, yet they effectively vote to tear them down. Why? Because they really buy the idea that those Christian rightwingers really hate them.
Blacks voted in California (our most liberal state) 70% against same sex marriage a few years ago (while a majority of Cali whites voted for same sex marriage). Polls show a majority of blacks support school choice and want the border controlled. Why are people like that voting Democrat? Because the Democratic propaganda that Republicans are racists who hate them is working. When McCain went on the View, Whoopi asked him if he was elected would she be a slave? Huh? Thats how the Democratic leaders want you to think, Whoopi.
Why the controversy over the Ground Zero mosque, a controversy that exists ONLY because the liberal-progressive elite WANTS the mosque .... why? Because it outrages most people, but that outrage they can take to Muslim voters (even if they're a small demographic group) and tell them ..... look how much they hate you .... vote for us, we're your protectors.
The controversies that the Obama administration and the liberal-progressive elite provokes (suing Arizona, the GZ mosque, etc) serves a purpose .... is it designed to scare some group or other and ensure their loyalty?
Depressing to think a major American party RELIES on racism and racial and religious discord, hatred, and fear .... but then it generally has for a very long time. They're just trying to scare different groups now.
