To the Gurus (Cary, Lonestar, Kumar, Tito, Dave, Teri, Brian, etc.): I am a long-term investor and have a simple question: How does any rival of AMAT stand to compete near or long-term against a company that spends $480 million per year in R & D alone when the closest rival's total revenues per year is about $460 million. Is it because AMAT is trying to grab the whole enchilada and the others focus on specific subsets of the semi-equipment area?
