"This is nonsense. "

Nothing nonsensical about it.

"You cannot point to any specific case of government spending bringing prosperity"

Umm, let's see. Israel in the early 1980s. They had gotten locked into a hyperinflation scenario. Instead of austerity, they were able to keep spending up and ratchet inflation down to a soft landing. Unlike others who went the austerity route and landed hard. Like we did with much less inflation.

Or, China in the recent meltdown. They had a huge stimulus package as a percentage of GDP. While things got a little rough there for a while, they quickly recovered and are back to 9%+ per year growth. Or Germany. Same sort of scenario.

Just to name two.

In other words, you fail.

" You can go back to the Founding Fathers and find 100s of quotes on their concerns over debt and spending and they have been proven right. "

And what quotes might those be?

Or, are you just making it up?

Again.
