That is with use of a dedicated graphics chip, the VR540X. That shows nothing on how ARM does using software render. The triangle set up rate for the VR540X is just 90 million triangles per second. FYI, the 890GX, one generation back of Ontario (DX10.1 vs DX11), does 2.8 billion triangles per second[...]

Dude, you don't have to sell me on AMD.

But the topic was the supposed incompetence of ARM cores.

I happen to be tapping this response out on a 3 year old Nokia N800, spritual predecessor of every Android smartphone out on the market today. 400mhz OMAP 2, 128m ram, 800x480, Maemo... Not the spryest thing out there, but perfectly servicable. Iuse it all the time.

Dying for an OMAP 4 smartphone to replace it. HARD to resist the Galaxy S.
