weird eh? Experts not consulted over Lockerbie bomber's release google.com Maybe al-Megrahi was released for political reasons? How come the UK government bailed to al-Megrahi's demands even before his appeal? My conclusion is the facts delivered by al-Megrahi's defence lawyers would have been of considerable embarrassment to the UK government. The US government would have been similarly exposed. i.e. Thatcher and Bush would have been shown to deliberatly flout the legal process in both counties over the death of over 250 citizens. The facts of the case were murky and the security forces were complicit as per previous posts on the subject. Message 26696947
