there will be no US attack on Iran's nukes, but there will be one by Israel

I have a feeling that the entire world is holding its breath and waiting and hoping that Israel attacks -- so that everyone will be able to mouth off some crap about their excessive use of force or something like that, and the problem will be solved, and everyone will be able to return to business as usual.

The problem is that an Israeli attack against Iran may be very costly - it may necessitate the use of unconventional weapons, which is an enormously important taboo - and may invite, sooner or later, a retaliation in kind. I would not be shocked if Israel at this time gives everyone a big FU - and settles for a MAD balance with Iran. Could be that this is the greatest fear of the nonproliferation enforcers - who know that they are paper tigers and do not have the balls to do their job.
