that may be the most inane response we have seen on this thread yet.

Do you support expanding nuclear energy in the USA?

and saying "NO" ain't such a bad thing. Any parent knows that sometimes you have to say no to children. The liberals/progressives need to understand that just because they want something doesn't mean that they can or should have it.

It is the correct thing to say "no" to spending money we don't have.

It is correct to say "no" to policies that will destroy our economy and lives based on faulty consensus "science".

Liberal/Progressives love entitlement programs that encourage an unsupportable population through either compensation for birthing babies while poor or providing services to illegal immigrants. And that population requires infrastructure, whether it be roads or utilities.

You can espouse all of the great things about solar and wind and hydro and biomass power...and guess what, i agree. Love em all. But you seem to be oblivious to what happens when you turn off the fossil fuels. Get rid of coal tomorrow and what you have in the USA is anarchy and civil war. You think I am kidding? When people turn that light switch on, they expect power. Look what happened in NYC during the blackouts in the 70s. Look at what happened with Katrina.

I wish the coal companies would grant the wishes of the greenies for just one week. No more coal mining, no more coal fired power plants....for just one week. After we see society breaking down after only one week without coal the coal companies should flip the bird at all the greeny AGW freaks and tell them to STFU if they want the lights to stay on.

You and I can argue about all of this all that we want. It's just mental masturbation. The fact is that solar and wind will never replace on-demand energy sources such as coal, oil and nuclear.

Since November 2008....when shares of the coal companies reached their low price on obama winning the election, the shares have doubled in price. Why do you think that is when this administration has taken such an aggressive stance toward coal as an energy source? Could it be because Obama can jawbone all he wants and it just doesn't make one bit of difference on how much coal is required to power this country.

If you could prove that global warming was bad and that it was caused by anthropogenic CO2 (neither of which is true), it still would change the amount of coal used...unless you sparked up a few nuclear power plants to offset the loss of energy from coal.

The only way you can decrease the use of coal is to eliminate a few billion human beings. Something that at least one of Obama's czars has entertained as the solution.
