Hi Tim, welcome to the board. Your comments on the semi industry are valid. Some of JMAR's business are related to chips, some are medical related, some are hard drive business related.

According to an article I read a little while back on the semi business, they project an extreme growth in the industry through the year 2000. Any slowdown according to this article would be short lived. I had a sense that this would be good for JMAR, even if a hiccup occurs along the way. I will try to give you the exact date,
it was in Business Week.

The MR business is not related to all new business, but also a cannibalization of existing drive markets. So, MR will grow in demand even if sales overall are flat. A slowdown now by Western Digital may affect demand for Mirage, but since this is a quality control and competitive tool, it may not be much of an impact. Interesting situation. Refer to my previous note for info on MR growth:
techstocks.com

So, yes a slowdown in JMAR's servicing industries may have an affect, but maybe not to the degree that the market is hammering the stock and other techs.
