The Spy Museum recently hosted a panel discussion on how to deal with Iran with Reza Kahlili ("A Time to Betray: The Astonishing Double Life of a CIA Agent Inside the Revolutionary Guards of Iran"), Dr. Michael Ledeen ("Accomplice to Evil: Iran and the War against the West"), and Melissa Boyle Mahle ("Denial and Deception: An Insider’s View of the CIA").

Dr. Ledeen, a recognized authority on Iran, makes some interesting observations about the current situation inside Iran. Because of the new sanctions imposed on Iran, life is becoming more and more difficult for Iranians. Planes flying out of Iran cannot purchase enough fuel to get back, leaving many Iranians stranded. Same with ships. It's not the governments of other countries that are imposing the sanctions, but the companies (like BP) who won't sell the fuel for fear of having penalties imposed on them.

The government tried to impose a 70% tax on the bazaars, which resulted in the merchants going on strike. The government had to back down, but only after the police killed one of them.

It's a somewhat long video but well worth watching what insiders and people familiar with what's going on in Iran have to say. You won't find any of this in the MSM.
