If I were these guys, I wouldn't tell you (us) anything. It sounds like exactly what it is. We're trying to get free services from professional money managers. It's not as if they are the company, which is obliged to respond to shareholders.

You might ask for a prospectus and any other materials that the fund offers to prospective buyers. A quarterly report would be useful since it would probably list companies invested and number of shares. The number of shares owned, compared to their other investments, would be a good indicator of their opinion of the company.
