several years back i was trying to get onto a major route. state trooper told me the ramps were closed all along the route. this was two hours before Bush even landed. He told me it was instructions from Washington for security reasons.

We have gone to extremes imo to protect our president. Like someone else mentioned, why isn't he taking a helo to a location 15 miles away from the airport. I expect they would want multiple helos and perhaps it is more difficult to protect.

a few more LA examples and nyc shut downs for him to go to a show will make white house rethink security. People will get so pissed off they will vote for someone else.
