Count me in as one who has left voluntarily. "left the party while I was still having fun". I might miss the last hour or 2 of more fun but there won't be enough chairs for everyone when it is over.

I, too, was not "shook out" of anything. I'm pretty much a hard-core value investor when I'm long. Sometime in late July most of my stocks started acting really strange. It was as if the Warren Buffets of the world had already checked out. Simultaneously, I noted some of the pricier issues becoming pricier still. It became apparent that the market was beginning to play a different tune. I quickly sold my value stocks, went to mostly cash, and added a few hedged shorts.

Grab a chair and join the party outside. Better to watch the fireworks that way. :-D
